Mike Witzman is an experienced technology sales executive focused on serving US Public Sector customers. His team of 400 managers and solutions engineers help Federal government, state/local government, and educational institutions apply technology to better achieve their missions of protecting, serving, and educating our communities.
With more than 30 years of experience in leadership and technology sales, Mike brings a genuine love of technology innovation, active engagement with customer and partner executives, and a passion for the solutions engineering organization. He is a technologist at heart and energizes his teams around technology transitions and public service at all levels. He coaches, mentors and sponsors new and aspiring leaders, and is an active ally in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Mike has experience across many theaters within Cisco including Global Enterprise, US Commercial, and most recently SLED – all in solutions engineering. He started as an Enterprise Systems Engineer where he achieved Cisco’s highest technical certification – CCIE #6907 in Routing and Switching (Emeritus). Over the last 6 years, he has immersed himself in the SLED customer vertical communities with a focus on cybersecurity maturity and efficacy.
Prior to Cisco, Mike served from 1994-1998 in the U.S. Air Force, where he was a Communications Officer at the Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA). He interfaced regularly with DISA and tested commercial network management solutions deployed to the Base Network Control Centers at more than 100 global Air Force bases. He was also an early member of AFCA’s Scope Net, providing network optimization planning and critical incident support to Major Commands and individual bases.
Mike earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and a Finance MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
